Fauxhawk Redux

Since a substantial minority of my referrals are from searches for fauxhawk, I thought I'd revisit the phenomenon.

The Fauxhawk derives it's name from Mohawk, a Native American people once located in northeast New York along the Mohawk and upper Hudson river valleys north to the St. Lawrence River. The Mohawk were the easternmost member of the Iroquois confederacy.

The Mohawk may have actually been worn by the the Huron people. It was later worn by Joe Strummer of the Clash, and then by my friend Woody in High School.

A Fauxhawk is like a Mohawk, only its fake. It's like a mohawk, except you don't shave your head. It's a cultural appropriation of a cultural appropriation. Native Americans started it, punks stole it, then emo kids and and whiny, hipster homos stole it. It was made famous by British football player David Beckham.

I hope that clears up fauxhawk.

ur gay.

No shit? Huh, I guess I learned something new about myself today.

I guess punks are kind of like the native american peoples what with the mass murder and being robbed blind of their land and culture. Sure I can see where punks relate. I guess that means the emo kids are the agrresors they can be quite intimidating. Like an army of Laura Flynn Boyles wiggy twig arms and a freaky lack of sexual anatomical differences.

haha that makes me look at my head diffently know it makes me want to dance around like and indian
