Bachmann on Iraq?

Does she have a position? Looking at Michele Bachmann's website, I can't tell. Her website mentions Iraq twice: once in support of the tropps, and the other attacking Patty Wetterling for having a plan for Iraq. Check out this google search.

In July, the DFL questioned Bachmann's stance on Iraq, because she didn't have one. They pointed out that 'Iraq' was nowhere to be found on her website under "On the Issues." Well, she added 'Iraq':

"Our courageous men and women in Iraq and Afghanistan are on the frontlines in the war on terror, but the horrific attack on 9/11 demonstrated that terrorists can bring the battlefield to our shores."

That's not a plan. Here she attacks Patty Wetterling:

"Patty has called for withdrawing our troops from Iraq by Thanksgiving" (Which Patty said a while ago and decided to revise after things in Iraq got even more fucked up)

That's not a plan. Here's another clip of her 'plan' for Iraq, but not from her website:

"Bachmann: The American people are responding overwhelmingly to the progress we’ve made in Iraq recently. We’ve killed al-Zarqawi, the most wanted terrorist leader over there, and we’ve had numerous successful intelligence raids as a result. No one knew when World War I would end or when World War II would end. We have to stay strong until it’s over."

That's as close to a 'plan' I can find from Michele Bachmann. I have scoured search engines, her website, the blogs. People are being killed in the name of religion in the supposedly free Iraq. At least Patty Wetterling is talking about Iraq!

My prediction? She'll have a plan after Bush visits in a few weeks. She'll need help thinking about an issue that doesn't involve bashing gays or curbing reproductive rights.
