Duluth Drag
The Duluth News Tribune has a feature article about the University of Minnesota-Duluth's twice yearly drag shows and what they mean for LGBT visibility up North.
In its seventh year of biannual shows, confusion has morphed into capacity crowds, said Nichols, director of Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender Services at UMD.About 400 people attended the drag show on Saturday night, dressed for a night out and ready to take pictures that were bound to show up on MySpace and Facebook pages by this morning.
“If you’ve never been to a drag show, let me explain how this works,” said Riley Owens, who emceed the event in a blue dress shirt, tie and goatee. “I’m really a girl.”
It's pretty good community coverage by the Tribune.
