SAGE and Maple Grove high school
The Associated Press has an update of the students who sued the Osseo school district out in the northwestern suburbs. Natalie Durivage and Heather Woodson came back to talk to students about Straights and Gays for Equality (SAGE) and how the group has grown from a handful of students to around 38.
"We spent a long time trying not to have a lawsuit," Durivage said. "We didn't really want to sue the school. We were trying to work it out with them and have them hear our issues. It didn't work out."
The school district keeps appealing the decision that said that SAGE should have the same access to school resources that other extra-curricular groups have.

OMG... you have to read Bachmann's latest crusade for lightbulbs! She's a nut job. I posted this on the startribune.com comments after the article.
Seriously... I'm pretty sure Bachmann is on crack since I've never heard her say anything that makes any sense what-so-ever. Sounds like she's banking on some light-bulb legacy. I honestly don't really care what light-bulbs people want to use, but this whole freedom to chose light bulbs rhetoric is completely against everything she stands for from freedom to choose religion and freedom to choose who to marry. Since when is freedom of choice so important to her since her platform was basically against gay marriage? She's a Cybil-hot-tranny-mess.
