CBye.jpgOutFront Minnesota, the state's largest advocacy and policy organization for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community has named Carolyn Bye as Interim Executive Director taking the place of Ann DeGroot who resigned in February.

Bye comes to OutFront with ample experience in the arts community and as a consultant for several major Twin Cities foundations. She was recently executive director of the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council.

“I’m excited to be on board with OutFront Minnesota,” said Bye in a press release Monday. “The organization does extremely important work serving GLBT and allied Minnesotans. I’m honored to bring my leadership qualities to such a well respected organization and look forward to being part of this work.”

OutFront will continue its search for an executive director with openly gay Minneapolis City Council member Robert Lilligren heading up the search committee.
