Gay softball invades Minneapolis

| | Comments (0)

This weekend (and every Memorial Day weekend), hundreds of gay softball teams gather in Minneapolis for the North Star Classic Tournament. Teams from California, Dallas, Boston, Chicago, Seattle, Florida, and Wisconsin are showing up droves this year.

Events are planned at the Saloon on Friday and Saturday, Camp also on Saturday, the Minneapolis Eagle/Bolt on Sunday for the awards ceremony and the Brass Rail all weekend.

It's all part of a growing trend for gay softball. Heck, they even write movies about it: Broken Hearts Club.

Still, it's not as cool as gay soccer.
