Practice safe policy with Obama, McCain condoms
A New York company, Practice Safe Policy, is capitalizing on the presidential campaign and the allure of sex in advertising -- they're selling condoms with the likeness of Sens. John McCain and Barack Obama printed on the packaging. The condoms, which are not flattering to either candidate, have a website for each: www.obamacondoms.com and www.mccaincondoms.com.
McCain's condoms hit him for his age with slogans like "For the conservative dick," and "May be too intense for seniors." The selling point? "Give your 'troops' the protection they deserve, buy McCainCondoms today! This will turn out to be the ultimate collectors item or a perfect gift for grandpa!" The condom packaging asserts "Old but not expired."
Obama's condoms criticize a perceived lack of experience. "No experience necessary," and "Who says experience is necessary?" grace the website page, while the marketing reads, "These are uncertain times. The economy's a ball-buster and the surge went flaccid... but now there's Obama Condoms, for a change you can believe in!" The condom sleeve reads, "Use with good judgement."
